happy new year 2011

The first of many resolutions to come. Last year was for new adventures and beginnings, this year is about building on lessons learned and moving forward.

In case you missed this, Adam is a really talented and awesome and crafty young designer and makes cool things like this. His new year’s resolution postcards have turned into a tradition of sorts now, and this is a preview of the ones he’s mailing out for 2011. Each card is labelled with the first (Adam’s) resolution, a starting point for whoever receives that card to continue on a list of personal goals/lessons learned to put into practice for next year.

SIDENOTE: Support your artsy friends/give a shit about what they love to do/spread this across the Internet for other people to see/we’re all in this together/sharing is caring/beats getting a ‘real’ job, right. 

In all seriousness, if we can’t use the Internet to push others in the direction of genuine talent/hardworking friends/encouraging each other to get off your butts and do the things you’ve always wanted to do (that novel, screenplay, online store, zine, installation, art, WHATEVER) then we’re probably not using it for the right things anyway.
